So, here we are....a long time since
the last post, but a lot has been going on! I would LOVE to say that we have
sold the house, but that's not it. We have just been busy. I have been
contemplating getting a job to help supplement income if we have to keep the
house. However, have you ever home schooled 3 kids and a toddler? Finding
a job is not easy! Especially, with no degree and being out of the workforce
for 11 years! There are many things that I could sell, but it would be to make
money and that's it, I can't stand behind a product that I don't like. I want
to sell something that my heart is into. Like engraving rocks from special
places (which I am going to do), and making jewelry from special sea glass or
rocks that we find, and taking photos that people can print to display in their
homes. I am so looking forward to it all and getting the kids involved in
macrame and sewing. We will have our Etsy store rolling soon.
We had a WONDERFUL anniversary week!
Full of fun and moments. To start our week off, we spent a few hours at the
dealership with Matt so he could purchase a new car! He is sad that he had to get rid of his sports car, but so
thrilled that he gets a brand new car in it's place!
That evening we got a late dinner. But, he got a reliable car in
return, so it was worth it! We are so proud of how far he has come and
where he is going.
Now onto our Anniversary day (or couple of days)
19 Years of Marriage! What an accomplishment in our eyes! We
have been through a lot, but a lot together. We got to sleep over at my sisters
rented condo, the kids had a blast, we had a nice evening and got to sit in the
hot tub on the roof top deck and watch the lightning! Share wine with my sister
and her boyfriend and got to forget about everything that we needed to forget
about (the stupid house). We've had a lot happen in the last year (more than
the house)! We weren't planning on spending the night, but my sister
rented a condo that had the TINIEST parking spaces and we had to do some like
15 point turn to get in the guest spot because we can't fit in the parking
garage, LOL...and I made the decision that WE WEREN'T MOVING THE TRUCK!!!!!
Matt and Sam came for dinner, so we stole his car to go get
clothes and swimsuits, and I have never seen that smile on Kevin's face since
he had his car! We got our stuff and got back for dinner and the sunset! The
girls were clothing optional at sunset, LOL...
We had the best anniversary in a couple of years! It was REALLY
nice! We spent the entire next morning at the beach complete with a breakfast
that my sister cooked. Bacon and Eggs!!!
And then, we spent the rest of the week playing in the pool
and went on a double date with our son and his girlfriend while our oldest and
his girlfriend watched the girls and Kyle! We went to International Plaza, I
still don't care for the place, but we had a nice dinner. Then went bowling
afterwards and I lost by 1 point to Sean on the last game, but I was shaking!
LOL.....
All in all, we had an awesome week! I am so glad that Kevin
got to take off some time and enjoy the little things with us! Best week
ever!!!! (So far, LOL)
